Rapid eLearning Development & Articulate Storyline Workshop

Day 1: Become a Rapid ELearning Pro

September 24, 2013

9:00 am - 5:00 pm - Workshop

Intended audience: Instructional designers and technical communicators at any skill level regardless of software preferences, managers who want to add pizzazz to their presentations.

Today’s tools are making it easier than ever to build eLearning courses because they don’t require any programming. This presents a lot of opportunities, but the reality is that there are also many challenges. On top of that, quite a few eLearning developers work with limited budgets and resources. Is it possible to build good courses with these constraints?

Let Tom Kuhlmann show you the way! This national speaker and popular Rapid Elearning Blogger provides weekly tips and tricks to help people build better eLearning modules to over 100,000 subscribers.

What’s covered in this session?

•         Simple ways to get started and move your ILT content online
•         Working with your subject matter experts
•         Explore techniques that will help you create the right look and feel for your courses
•         How to create interactive content with re-usable, interactive models

In this workshop, you’ll learn how to:

•         Insert and work with various types of content on a slide
•         Work with Storyline’s built-in characters
•         Create interactivity using Slide Layers, Triggers, and States
•         Customize the course player
•         Publish to Flash, HTML5, and iOS for iPad viewing

6:30 pm - 8:00 pm - Presentation

The word e-learning can mean many things. For some, it’s any training or content that’s presented online and for others, it could be only learning-based courses. But the reality is that while we use the same word, what we mean can be completely different things.

Join Tom Kuhlmann as he demonstrates how rapid eLearning can be used for maximum impact and show when it can be misused. He will explore the different types of eLearning and some strategies to make them successful.
