On November 14 and 15 2012, the STC New York Metro chapter and Single-sourcing SIG will join forces to offer you a presentation on: Single-sourced Translation
In today’s global world, the need to translate a lot of content and keep up with frequent changes can be quite a challenge. Consider, for example, the following scenario: CompanyF creates software for the healthcare industry. The corporate website is hosted using WordPress, with marketing material and technical documentation created using Word, Powerpoint and FrameMaker. 60% of the content of the marketing material is shared with the content on the web site, and 30% of the content is shared between the web site and technical documentation. CompanyF is looking to expand its markets into south America and East Asia, and will need to localize it's web site and content into Spanish, Portuguese, Japanese and Korean. They need a solution that will help them continue stable production while supporting a manageable translation process. Inputs = Word, FrameMaker, PowerPoint, WordPress site Processing = XTM + Easyling Outputs = localized Word, FrameMaker, Powerpoint and WordPress site
STC’s New York Metro Chapter and the Single Sourcing SIG invite you to explore the world of translation and the tools which may help you achieve just that - an on-going, semi-automated workflow which offers a solution to a complex translation scenario. Bob Willans, CEO of XTM International, and Balázs Benedek, CTO of Skawa Innovation Ltd. have graciously agreed to pick up our virtual glove, so to speak, and present a joint solution to our challenging scenario. Join us to hear their presentation.
